These are a few of my favorite wildlife photos that I have captured so far.

Wood Duck in Cardinal Creek, Muncie on Feb 6th, 2020 – only a block from my house. This is the first time I have seen a wood duck in an urban setting, and mixed in with a large group of Mallards. – This stream drains the Ball State University Campus area and I believe is a bit warmer in the winter due to some discharge of warmer water from the University’s Geothermal system, which makes it an appealing place for ducks.
It was a single Wood Duck hanging around with a group or 20 or so mallards
Golden Crowned Kinglet. This is the first time I have photographed this bird – they are very small and do not sit in one place, and prefer thick brush.

Eastern Bluebird, male, winter plumage. This was my first bluebird picture – in fact, I didn’t know it was a bluebird until I imported and edited the image in LightRoom.
This Squirrel was picking up the dropped seeds from our bird feeder. I shot these through the living room window.

Female Northern Cardinal

Green Heron, Wooded area near Lake Tippecanoe, Northern Indiana. This was my first photo of a Green Heron.
Wood Duck, 2 males and a female. My first photo of a wood duck, in a pond in a wooded area near Lake Tippecanoe, Northern Indiana.

Bald Eagle, young adult. Taken near the White River, Cardinal Greenway and East Jackson Street (Kitselman Trailhead area). I spotted it flying overhead, being harassed by a red-tail hawk. I was able to see where it landed and captured this image as it flew down river. I was amazed how close I was able to get, and how large these birds are!
