We led a trip to Germany in May of 2019 with a group of Urban Planning Students from Ball State University. We visited Munich, Frankfurt, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Duisburg, Hamburg, Berlin and Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the Zugspitze (Germany’s highest peak in the Alps, on the border with Austria). These are some of my favorite images from the trip.

Zugspitze – Looking west
Zugspitze looking north towards Lake Eibsee. You can see the cables for the cable car that connects the peak with the valley below. This cable car holds the world record for the longest free-span cable car at 10,541 ft.

Our lock in Hamburg – accidentally bought this instead of a Heineken from a vending machine in the hostel, so left it on this bridge with the other locks.
